This past week in class we talked about and read about different features in poetry other than music. Chapter 3 talked about comparison, personification, rhyme, non-rhyming, apostrophe, and lies. All these different elements are used in poetry. Personally I find it hard to actually think about which of these features to use in a poem normally I just write whatever comes to me.
Currently I’m still anecotating my poem and need to start writing my own. I don’t know how my poem will turn out. I’m also still editing and rewriting some of my own personal poems, and whatever inspiration comes to me.
Artistic process? I think the artistic process depends on the artist themselves, everyone is different. I don’t think my process is very routine. I basically rely on inspiration. If I’m not inspired I won’t write much, maybe try to finish a story I’ve started but won’t start anything new. Inspiration means a lot to my artistic process being inspired and writing it down is mainly all that I do when I write if not everything kind of sucks if no inspiration is included.
