Third Blog

This week was a lot of fun actually. When I read up on what apostrophe really was I was surprised-but then I was quick to include it as much in my writing as possible. That's the thing with the new things you learn-the moment you learn em, you want to use them. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but I'm worried I used it in excess now. Oh well, hopefully it will turn out okay. I used personification a lot as well, mostly because I like giving inanimate objects something akin to personalities. My laptop, for example, is Dahlia. She's rather studious and hates being used for one or getting sidetracked. By contrast, I have the super powerful Calli, who tends to bully her way into getting what she wants because of how strong she is, and lead to a lot of procrastination. But now I'm blathering.

Anotating poems was a little hard for me, mostly because I wasn't sure if I was doing it right. And I found a great poem from the anthology to use, but realized then that it would be hard to turn in since it was in my textbook. I tried to comprise instead, and wrote out the poem in a notebook, and did it from there. I hope that's acceptable. I really enjoyed the poem I did though. He had a lot of good metaphors, and the way he used them was almost haunting.

I hope this post isn't too late. I was rather embarrassed to find out how much time had gone, and when I realized it was so late, I panicked! I had a lot of fun this week though, espically with the new writing techniques.
