Week 5

Object: Airplane
Planes are one of the biggest things created in the sky above us. Birds can fly, or a type of flying insect. An airplane can fly, just as if it were a bird, flying with others of its own. Different people from all over the world fly, but not really fly, they can only fly when an air plane does. Marvelous wings, bigger than a bird’s, travel the wind. Travelling in and out of each white fluffy cloud.  The heavy body of the plane holding families, families waiting to see loved ones. Families love to fly, but they don’t really fly. California to Maine, over the seas, with what seems to be a miniature world far below, with miniature cars, people. Helicopters can fly, but not like an air plane. Planes holding hundreds of seats, flying each person. The sound of wind passing by each passenger’s window. Windows of each eye of the plane views wondrous things, nature and buildings. Seeing bodies of water, smelling the blue ocean. Planes love flying. With the nose of the plane in lead, guiding the direction. Made of metal, plenty of metal, paint and material. Flying like a bird with others of its own.
This assignment was very interesting. I enjoyed making comparisons. I used personification a lot, which seems to be the most important part of this assignment. Giving objects human qualities (like I did with the airplane), is what made the actual plane come to life. This assignment made me really think, and required me to think in ways I’m not accustomed to.
