Week 5, Describing a blanket

Laying across my bed is a body length blanket about 5 feet long and 3 feet wide. The black and white color looks like a zebra and swirls softly together like ice cream coming out of a ice cream machine. The thickness of the blanket is very warming and the touch is very elegant. The texture feels as if its actually zebra fur and is very soft on your skin. Wrapping up in this blanket to keep warm makes you feel like your floating on heaven. The stripes on this blanket look never-ending as if you were looking down a long flowy river. If you look at this blanket too long you could start to feel dizzy from the brightness of the black and white stripes. The other side of this silky smooth blanket is just pure black, like a deep scary cave. It gives this blanket warmness by not having it all zebra decored. By looking closely at the edges of the blanket, you can tell it was knitted to perfection. Each thread of yarn is knitted perfectly straight and tight making this blanket very strong and durable. The black thread swirls through out the entire blanket making it barely noticeable. This comfortable blanket elaborates perfectly on any bed making it feel like your floating on soft clouds. I love my zebra blanket and helps me keep a good night sleep with it's softness.
Writing 200 words about a zebra blanket seemed easy at first, but then felt like I was repeating myself allot. I enjoyed doing this activity because it helped me describe something in as much detail as I could, even if it's something as simple as my blanket. Looking closer at things around me can make me see all the detail I wouldn't normally see and have a different out look when I think and see that object everyday or on occasion. Describing objects also gives me opportunity to compare it to something similar or out of the ordinary that I would never think of. Over all I thought this assignment was fun and helpful.
