Week 13

This week in class there was time for us to discuss the final details for our literary journals, everything is slated out with that as long as we get all the final revisions back.  It went smoother than I thought it would have so that's a plus.  We also picked out a piece that we are to present on the 7th.  I chose a poem, this poem was then looked over for Wednesday with a fine tooth comb to determine syllable sounds, and overall tone of stanzas, etc.  I found that my work had a lot of back and forth between fast and slow so with certain lines leaning toward laborious to say.  I wouldn't have looked at it in that fashion if we hadn't discussed it on Monday.  We also did a free write based on photos presented in class.  I did a pretty detailed short story, I would have read it, but I was still finishing it when we moved to the next part of the in class assignment.  I think, given the amount of time, it is a decent work.  Now onto finishing the portfolio,  I only have three final revisions left and then just getting everything in order and writing the creative processes essay.  Hopefully my blogs will lend a helping hand! There have been a multitude of exercises and events that have occurred this semester to affect my style and creativity, the trick is getting these onto paper...
